KDI Kares, a nonprofit organization in Palm Desert California, is pleased to announce their launch of their first scholarship program.

KDI Kares, has selected Coachella Valley High School to be the recipient of various First in My Family scholarships ranging from $500 to $2,000 totaling $20,000 Annually.

KDI Kares is Considering the Following Scholarship Criteria:

• The student is the first of their siblings, parents, grandparents to enroll in a full-time undergraduate course or study at a vocational/technical school, or a two or four year college or university.
• Has a 3.0 GPA

Required Documentation for Application:

• Transcript
• Minimum of 2 Letters of Recommendation
• Essay (Please include an introduction to the student and their family. Also define their future and academic goals.)
• Résumé (Please include any work history and/or community involvement)
• Completed Application
